Starting 1965 220 SE WITHOUT AT Installed .

Aluminum Torque converter cracked in two pieces . I have the tranny out of the car and don't have time to work on it . Curious if it's okay to start . Already pulled the tank and everything (and put back in) and just want to keep good fuel going through . I suppose I need to plug the radiator lines . Do not remember even if there are cooling lines . I can also drain the tank . Is that good enough . May sit a year or so . John

Garage
Makes no difference if the transmission is attached or not, the engine doesn't care. Just keep stuff away from the flex plate, as it will be spinning at engine RPM.
