My passenger side headlamp & sidelamp has failed
It works fine on full beam
I have changed the Bulbs no joy

I am thinking perhaps it may be a fuse

Where are the fuses located ??????

Or any one got any other Ideas

Hello,

I have a V220, the headlamp has 2 bulbs so make sure that you have changed the top small bulb for main beam.

There are 3 fuseboxes in the cab of the vehicle, one is on the side of the battery compartment, you get to this by removing the side panel of the front seat. There is another small fuse box in the passenger footwell and finally there is one on the underside of the steering column.

I am not sure which one has the headlamp fuses, but i will check my handbook.

On my v220 the lights also failed, but it was corrosion in the plug that connects the wiring loom to the headlamp.

Had exactly the same problem with the same headlight.

At first the full beam wouldn't work, changed the bulbs and then random lights then worked and stopped working.

Turned out to be the connector on the back of the headlight to the wiring loom was really badly corroded.

Had to take the headlight out to get to it, with some WD-40 and fiddly scrubing cleaned both sides of the connector up nicely saving on a replacing the whole thing .. still working fine after a month or so ..

Had this problem a couple of years ago, bad earth to the dip light, or follow the wire from the light back into the connector box at the back of the headlamp casing, these can also be bad. Electrical cleaner spray into the connector and leave to evaporate, then retry.

similar problem. except that it's the foglights. the roller rocker switch does nothing (in either position). bulbs ok, connections ok, fuses all ok.

are these rocker switches known to be dodgey after time?

similar problem here:
left dipped beam not working, left full beam and side light are working. Right side all 3 working. Checked left dipped fuse and bulb both ok. No front or rear fog lights. However if if slightly pull back the light stalk then just before the full beam comes on the front fog lights work.

Does anyone know if there are seperaste contacts in the stalk for the different lights? And yes an electrical diagram woiuld be very helpful but I can't find one anywhere

My fog lights gave up last year and after much searching I found moving stalk would bring them on. I tightened up the screws on the switch assembly and it has held out to just a few days ago.

My left low beam is also dead now - will check the connector that is regularly referred to.

Regards
