I am in the process of trying to make my handbrake functional for my '73 406 and am waiting for some new cables, but in the meantime I have been searching this forum on the topic and looking at EPC diagrams and noticed that I am missing the spring on the intermediate lever. In the photo below (which I stole from another post on this forum) does anyone know the overall length of the spring and where the other end not visible attaches too?
After crawling under the truck again, I think I have the spring mounting points identified. They are pretty far apart, about 10.75", that's why I missed it the last time I looked. Anyway, if someone happens to have the spring dimensions handy, that would be helpful as I am going to try to source one locally. If not, no big deal, I should be able to work something out.
Thank you for the photo. I was able to find one that seems to work well. It looks to be about the same diameter as the one on your truck.
