I ordered a repair kit using one of the parts numbers tkv000 posted. There are 2 repair kit numbers on the sheet he posted. Only one came up valid in the MB System. Hopefully it is the right kit. Gonna compare the parts before removing from packaging. I was told that there were 4 kits in stock in Germany. Mine should be here in a week. I'll let you know if its the right one. The kit is ~$650 plus tax from the MB Dealership. Another parts distributor quoted me over $1k as well, but they wouldn't give me the part # so I dunno for sure if they were quoting the same kit.

Seal kit came yesterday. I took it by the hydraulic shop to compare the seals at the end of the day. Looks like the correct kit. I forgot to snap pics of the seals themselves. But here is the packaging with part #s. Cylinder should be back together Monday.

Cylinder is back together and good as new. So that kit is the correct one.

Phew. I'm always nervous pulling part numbers as I'm no parts guy, glad it all worked out!

Did your kit look like this? I got mine today, it has a different part #A0005539460.

It does look like the kit I got. I don't recall if the bag in the box had a part number on it. Do you have your old seals out? How do they compare?

I came across this company in Germany that services the Tipper cylinders. I have not dealt with them, but they look to be legit, with a list of professional clients.

They are about 80Km east of Frankfurt am Main.

If one were buying a truck in Germany that needed cylinder work before exporting, they might be worth contacting.

They can service the cylinders or supply new ones.

I dropped it off at the hydraulic shop in Red Deer (DB hydraulic) and they’re supposed to call me when they have it apart and can compare the seals.
