Here are some other mounts that I came across, and some photos of the original Military PSP / Marston Mat, fresh from a temporary airfield somewhere, where the thunder of a Merlin or a Pratt & Whitney Double Wasp is a very faint memory.

You might be able to skip the pad lock on those. Anybody that is of a mind to steal one of those, let alone a pair of them, will probably get about a half a block before they drop them, unless they are upper crust thieves with a vehicle....but with thieves, you never know.

Rebar is always so elegant, and I mean that in a good way.

Yes, I thought for a second...Rebar? A little bit hillbilly..or in this case Gopnik...but it kinda makes sense because its easy to grab. With the interlocking teeth on the edges I had to figure what's the best way to install it on the side of a vehicle? The side against the vehicle needs teeth out because it would scratch whatever it's laying against. If You stack them and put the outside mat with teeth out it would be a snag magnet and not too kind if a person brushed against it. Therefore, the teeth are facing each other. Even without the anti-rattle plastics I still need to fabricate I could not hear them rattling...at least not against the V12 engine
