U1300L BRITISH AMBULANCES

One of the MOD surplus houses in the UK shows these Ambulances on their site. They say they have 20 of them.

They are equipped with an Insulated 'Marshalls Box', which looks like it would be a good start on a camper. I don't know the relative merits of these boxes vs the German examples, but the headroom looks better, for starters.

No side door, everything loads in/out of the rear, cargo box style.

It looks like the rear ambulance box is actually just attached to the regular rear flat deck of the military 1300L, with the sides and tail gate removed.

From their listing, it looks like 1.65 meters, which is 5'5".

And, Yes, the Ambulance box is sitting on the bed without the sideboards or tail gate.

Not sure how it is attached, obviously without the chains of the Shelter Boxes, and the corners of the box do not appear to have pockets for locking lugs.

So, this box is about 3" taller than the standard Ambulance box (measured in the center), about 6" narrower, and about 24"-25" shorter. There could be some drift here, with internal dimensions vs overall, outside dimensions, but that's the ballpark.

Ah - Jackson’s.
I phoned to inquire a few months ago.
They where’re really interested in selling to individuals and were looking for a lot on money for one - much more than buying one from AV & building the accommodation yourself....
