Canadian GL4 Dinosaur

I have finally run out of my Canadian gl4 90W gear oil. The supplier that I had dealt with will not be ordering another drum and I'm have pretty much used up what I have.
None of the larger Auto places have or can get in??
I DO NOT WANT Synthetic, dont ask, I just dont want!
So for my Canadian brethren...where are you getting your oil??????( don't say Alberta)

Thanks
G Vavra

I bought a 20L pail of Penzoil 80W-90 GL-4 at NAPA. It was a few years ago, but they might still stock it.

Hope that helps.

I was able to get some from Napa till about 3-4 yrs ago...Lordco No...Was buying from a major lube place but his demand is not high enough to warrant more.
Still waiting to hear back from him if he can get a pail in.
In both cases it was the same Penzoil product.

Funny you say that, I was going to take a picture but I was driving, spotted a VW diesel wagon on the weekend, licence plate was "OILBRTA"

I get all my oil via Amsoil now, but, doesn't meet your criteria

Try CRC Sta-lube 85w90 GL4, a no frills GL3/4 gear oil.
I think Napa has it/can get it.

Search the web for "sta lube gl4"

Part #
sl2439 1GAL
sl2459 5GALs

Hope this helps.

With all do respect, Quakerstate is not the same as Amsoil.

Did I miss something in your link I could not find where it said Quakerstate is amsoil rebranded.

A little info that could be garbage:

"Just to set the record straight, Amsoil's first 10W-40 diester based synthetic motor oil was developed in 1972 by Hatco in cooperation with Lubrizol to Amsoil's requirements. Hatco manufactured the diester, blended the finished oil, and sold it exclusively to Amsoil in bulk. Amsoil packaged, branded, and marketed the oil. The oil was approved against API SE/CC and MIL-L-46152.

There was a close cooperation between Hatco and Amsoil that lasted until 1979 when Amsoil started blending their own oil. Hatco also made other similar synthetic motor oils in the early 1970s and sold them for rebrand to a number of other small oil companies."
