Thumbs up WA, Kennewick

Allied Automotive
726 N. Jean Street
Kennewick, WA 99336
Caleb & Kymm Aldinger

This small shop in the Tri Cities was recommended to me by a long-time MB owner. Jim worked at the old MB dealership in Kennewick when I bought my 1st MB in 1982 just after graduating high school, a 1971 220D, and sold me another one from his own dealership in 1993, a 1985 300TD. I trusted his judgement.

I was very impressed with Caleb's knowledge when I got to the shop but, more importantly, the obvious honesty he showed when he diagnosed the problem with my 1989 300SE. I know he could have charged more, and found more things "wrong".

When I picked up the car, they had a report prepared after running a complete inspection (at no charge) of other things I was already aware of, and all of them were "no-BS" items.

I was very impressed with Caleb and his shop, and highly recommend them.

Avoid this place like the plague. They are totally ignorant on MB engines and consistently gave me wrong information. They don't mind charging for nothing as well. Not only did they not trace the problem, but they didn't even do anything except unplug parts and plug them back in. 4 Hours @ $75..? To unplug a wire?

Google gives you more accurate information than they do.

Another shop locally, about 5-7 miles away from this place:

Simmonson Automotive Services
627 W Columbia St.
Pasco, WA 99301
(509) 547-1659

Can't vouch on them being any better, never been there, but they can't be worse.

This clean, modern shop is technically advanced and consistently provide outstanding service for us with our three Mercedes Vehicles. Case in point - R350 started running rough, the dash said take to workshop. Took it to the dealership in Kennewick who quoted me $3500 to replace the entire manifold. We drove it down the street to Messer Motoren Werke and they fixed it for us for $180. They said, "Why should we replace the entire manifold when all that is broken is a little plastic clip that opens and closes the idle intake?" They replaced the plastic with a stainless clip and sent us on our way. Since then we've been going to them. They're honest and prompt. You'll love this place.
