You do not need STAR to bleed the brake, it cannot activate CC if not fitted to the car.

They will all work on you car.

at the moment my friends car has air in the abs pump and its a bugger to get out as i will most likely need to cycle the abs pump, iv been told that pretty much the only way to get it out is the star system, iv bled the system multiple times and had the car out on a dirt road trying to active the abs but im still not getting a decent brake pedal

any ideas on how to remove the air or should i just bite the bullet and get the star system?

cheers

In the trade a pressure bleeder is used to bleed the brakes, only if the car has SBC brakes is STAR needed.

I have stumbled upon a post telling what's Star and which Star should you buy. It is a great post. The post will benefit to Smart owners. I am not affiliated with the Smart repair shop, cause I did not buy a STAR system yet.
