Exclamation Desperately Need Pre Merger AMG Bumper and Skirts

I am lucky enough to own a very well documented, german market, genuine, 1991 AMG 500SL 6.0 (pre-SL60). Unfortunately, a previous owner "upgraded" it with the newer, post-merger style ///AMG (not AMG) bodykit, 18" wheels, and Xenon headlights. I'm now endeavoring to put it all back to original.

I've already found a set of correct 3pc AMG / OZ racing wheels (I had to buy an entire 600sl to get them), and a NOS pre-merger AMG front bumper, and a used but correct pre-merger fliptail spoiler. I desperately need:

• Rear bumper: H WA 129 880 02 40
• Left side skirt: H WA 129 690 02 40
• Right side skirt : H WA 129 690 03 40

I'm an immediate cash buyer for these parts, and I'm also happy to trade or part trade my full newer style post-merger body kit and side cladding panels.

I also need a set of Euro H4 headlights, and, again, I'm happy to trade my MB OEM Xenon's for them, or pay cash, or some combination.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks SO much. Reach me at aleventhal at straylightracing dot com. Fingers crossed!

If you aren't from the UK or someplace that drives on the wrong side of the road, BAHRAINI might be interested in your Xenons.

Congrats on your purchase and applaud you for trying to put the car back to an original state. I do question the urge to swap back the headlights. They not only look better than the all glass H4s, but are “light years” better (pun intended) than the H4s. If you plan on ever driving the car at night, I’d leave the xenons. I’m sure the AMG gods would forgive you.

No doubt you are correct, but I want this car put back to 100% original. I have Xenon's on my daily driver (Continental GTC V8), and they are great, but in this case I want to experience the car the way the first owner did. I hope that makes sense.

If you know anyone who has a set of the H4s, I'd be happy to trade my perfect Xenons EVEN UP for the H4s. So, someone can get better lights for free. Any takers?

I'm in Maryland in the United States. Any chance BAHRAINI has a set or euro H4s? If so, I'll happily make the trade...

There are not a lot of pre-merger AMG people or parts around but this may prove a good resource. There is a forum but many of the people there are also on benzworld. Good luck in your search.

I tried to register for that sight, but their Captcha is not working, and hence, I can't. Hopefully their admin will see this and fix the issue. Thanks!

AMG Classic has been down due to tech issues. Keep checking.

jauce.com is a good place to look. Lots of these cars there back in the day.

This yours?

Yes, it is. I've got the correct wheels on it now, though, with body color centers and polished lips, per original.

Thanks!

You could recoup your costs selling the entire bumper and cladding on your car right now. There is a seller in ebay from japan who has rare complete kits once in a while. Id start there

One thing I like about the early version is the 3pc wing
