Rodney: Ever try the Dalmore 12yr?
Yes, it's good. I think my favorite is either Oban or Glen Rothes. I rarely fidn a single-malt that I don't like, except once, my BIL had me try something, don't recall the name, but it was so smokey flavored, my mouth literally tasted like a campfire after a few sips. He keeps it around more as a joke than anything.

I'm not a fan of Macallan 12 or 15. I had them both and they are too peaty.
I was fortunate enough to be invited to a Dalmore tasting and had their 40yr which was lovely.

Sorry, I digress...

So back on topic... I just received my letter in today's mail! I'm making a copy to be stored in the glove box just in case.

LOL! I put mine the glove compartment, too. I figured if I ever needed it, that would be the place to have it on hand.

I received my Warranty Addendum yesterday also. Honestly, I don't know what all newly covered parts do, but my basic question is IF one reaches the 300,000 or so "pedal pushes", does this extended warranty cover whatever it takes to get past that? Interesting to me that MB added this additional coverage. I'm sure they're all nice people, but certainly seems like risk mitigation efforts. Now...just get to the ABC system :-)

It's not 300,000 pedal pushes - it's 300,00 cycles of the SBC motor. The motor only runs when the system needs pressure, so you may be able to brake gently many times before the pump cycles again. If you think about it, that makes more sense. On a grueling daily commute, one could easily press the brake pedal 300 times. Doing the math, that would give you 1,000 days of brakes and we know it's not that short-lived.

I never tried to do the math. Just loosely (obviously) remember something about 300,000 so thanks for the info. I'm not a heavy brake-user but I'm sure 'pedal pushes' add up a lot faster than I/many realize. So 300,000 cycles of the SBC motor (which is what MB is calling the hydraulic pump?) would convert to how many years of "normal" driving?

That's a good question. In fact, I am not sure if the "300,000" number is a count of on/off cycles for the pump motor, or maybe it's a time count (maybe seconds?). I just know it's not pedal actuations. One day, i'll fire up SDS and read my count, then do some "normal daily driving" and see how it changed.
