Looking for opinions on SLK250 vs SLK350

I drive a 2012 C 350 coupe, I am looking at trading for a 2013 SLK 250, Should I be looking at the SLK 350? I owned a 2003SLK 230 and had a lot of problems withat 4 cyl supercharged powertrain.

Depends what your priorities are but if you enjoy the power and engine note of the V6 you will definitely miss it. The four cylinder is a little coarse for my tastes but its still a good compromise between power and economy.

Test drive the 350. The v6 has a superb engine / exhaust note and the car is very lively.

My advice would also be to test drive the SLK350 (and the 250). As you come from a 3.5 l car, my bet is you want to stick with that kind of power and exhaust note :-)

Perhaps someone can help me here but if the 2013 came with the M272 engine I would go with that.
I have (until Monday at least) an R170 which has the pre cursor to the M272 the M112 engine which I also had in my 2003 E class. The M272 adds the balance shaft to smooth out the engine.
It has fewer moving parts to worry about for my money.
Having said that, if the 2013 came with the M276 I have no experience with it but am told it has a good rep and sounds awesome.
