Question R172 SLK Voice Control question

Can someone help me find out if the Voice control feature can be added to my 2015 SLK (R172). I know it comes with the multimedia package, but my car does not have it . I am wondering if I can use it by adding a Voice Control Module . If so, can someone tell me what OEM part # I would need and direct me to some basic installation information.
Thanks in advance and hope this is possible.

"LINGUATRONIC voice-operated control system for audio, phone and navigation"

This comes part of the COMAND Online multimedia system. You'll have to change the unit.

It's a dealer-fit only.

I have been a Benz owner since 1987 and am about to take delivery of my 9th car since then.
The last 2 have had all this voice control stuff and frankly I find it annoying to use.
You must be specific in commands, you must wait until she stops speaking, if you have to make a change you have to back out. It is almost as annoying as SIRI!
Before I got too far into it I would consider a Garmin system or similar that will do all these functions at much lower cost to achieve. If you but the LM version of a system (Lifetime maps) you will always be up to date vs. 2 yr behind by MB suppliers admission on their very expensive updates.

I find it more natural in the 2015 model than i did in earlier versions of linguitronic say the 2007 C Coupe where you had to spell out town names rather than the whole word
There is a menu for it to learn your voice, have you tried the commands to learn it?

I find that now i can say things like "call x" and "melbourne, collins street 101" and it works fine.

Voice address comes with map pilot

Hi Tom,
Just taken delivery of my new SLK, The becker map pilot has voice activation for the address function and it is very good. I think you need the command system if you want full voice activation, personally I did not bother as it gave a load of functions I would never use, e.g. video playing and wifi.
