Can't figure out how to put more CD's in magazine.

Hi. We are totally stumped on how to get more than 1 CD into the magazine. Our car has an eject button with a different symbol than noted in the MB Command manual but I'm pretty sure we've got the premium system. We have a memory stick slot. When we press the eject button we don't get the 6 disk menu on the screen. It will only eject or accept one CD. If anyone can help, thanks.
A pic of the eject button is here:

Are you referring to your SL or an SLK?

If it is for your R230 SL, we'll have to move the topic to the appropriate forum

Thanks for pointing that out. We returned the SL 500 and purchased an SLK 350. I was sad to see the SL 500 go. A new reliable SL 500 was out of our reach and too much car for my Wife anyway. I have changed my profile details.

Thanks,
Adrien.

Welcome to the R172 community! Don't forget to post photos of your beauty in the owner's photo gallery thread.

I suggest you download the Comand manual from here:
Mercedes-Benz - Home of C, E, S, CLS, CL, SLK, SL, R, GLK, M, GL, G Class

I've also extracted the CD operation pages for you.

Cheers,

Thanks for taking the time to send the document. We did spend about a half hour trying to figure out why the instructions simply do not work. The eject button we have is different from that shown in the manual. We never get the display showing the status of the trays. Pressing the button always ejects the CD we have inserted. I think we don't have the correct player installed. A trip to the dealer is in order, hopefully this weekend.

Thanks,
Adrien.

Our dealer confirmed we have a single CD player. Apparently MB had supply issues and installed them in a few cars. It's up to the owner to discover it. We don't know the solution as our sales rep was away.

Well, disappointing as it might be, you still have many sources to load your music. Comand has a good ability to control an iPod if you have the correct cable, and you can still plug-in USB cards, a memory card, and load content on the built-in hard drive.

Much practical than a CD

True, many options.... which makes me wonder... Of all the options, there could very well be something else that got substituted and we wouldn't know it. We'd better spend some time and review the options.
