comand ntg2.5 ariel problem

Hi all,
i have replaced the oem comand ntg2.5 in my r171 slk with a kenwood head unit
Everything works fine, i have all speakers wired correctly and the steering wheel controls work , but i have no fm/am radio, i guess its something to do with the Ariel amplifier
does anyone have knowledge of this?? i have the pinouts for the original quadlock but non of the connected wires appear to switch the amplifier on.
The white socket on the quadlock had pins 1,2,3 ,7 & 9 wired
1,2,3,9 appear to be mic wires, 7 is cradle compensator so there are no spare wires for Ariel amp that i can see
is it possible the comand head unit puts 12v up the coax ??

I have tried an external fm Ariel and this works fine , so i know the head unit is ok

Regards and best wishes
