Please recommend a charger

Hi,

We have a SLK-250 and a C-300 that both get very little driving time. Both are still under warranty and I recently had a problem where the SLK wouldn't start. Seemed like the battery was depleted and while roadside assistance actually came out and replaced the battery I'm thinking I'd like to use a charger during the winter to top off the batteries when they are idle for a couple days.

I tried a keyline smart charger and it doesn't seem happy using the jump points on the car. I need to pop the battery cover off and attach it directly to the battery to make it work.

Does anyone know of a charger that I can attach to the jump points? I'd like my wife to be able to do it also and there is no way she screwing around with a battery cover.

Thanks for any help!!!

I have a Stanley Re-chargeit 15 amp. I got a great deal Walmart online. It has an automatic charge that fluctuates from 15 amp to lesser amp as battery charges, and shuts off until needed again. It has a battery reconditioner I have used to revamp my Mercedes battery. Also: engine start, alternator test, battery voltage, real time display featuring percent charged plus. Really next generation technology for IIRC under $50.

Sounds good, does he have similar features to the Stanley Re-Chargeit?
