320 electric seat creaks/rattles during driving

Has anyone else had this? I have an '01 320 with electric, heated seats. Just recently it feels like the driver's seat is moving around on its diagonal axis a little. When braking hard it'll sometimes make a metallic rattle noise as my left leg goes for the clutch. I've looked underneath and can't find anything, although I can make it rattle by pushing up and down on the left front of the seat. It seems like a stupid thing to drive 15 miles to the dealer for, but it's annoying the hell out of me!<br>
The quality control problems I've had (rear suspension clunk noise, rear trunk latch, rear shelf rattle, etc) are beginning to get annoying. So far only the rear shelf has been fixed to my satisfaction.
