Early R129 StopTech Stainless Brake Lines SS hoses

Gents,

I am in the process of renewing the brakes on my 1991 500SL. I have purchased a full set of rotors which came with pads. And I have also replaced the rear parking/emergency brake shoes and associated parts. I now would like to replace the brake hoses with stainless steel.

I'm looking for a reasonably priced set, and found StopTech parts on eBay for about $45 a pair for fronts, same price for rears. The stock picture on them didn't look like brake hoses I'm used to, so I'm asking for someone's help to verify that these part numbers pertain to an early R129.

StopTech 950.35500 (rear)
StopTech 950.35505 (front)

If these are correct, does anyone object to this company?

Thanks,

Sev

Buy the stainless brake lines from:

https://www.paragonperformance.com/A...-Kits/Mercedes

I've bought two sets from them and they are excellent quality with equally excellent service.

I appreciate the suggestion. I know paragon and goodridge are two of the top SS brake hose suppliers for our cars, I have the goodridge on my 190e 2.3-16

However, I will only have this car for one season. I plan to drive it aggressively, fix a few of the hydraulic valves that control the hard and soft top functions, do no more than 50 hours of work on it, and then sell it by the end of next summer

Thus I'm looking for a 'cheap' solution. Has anyone ever tried StopTech on their Mercedes?

Can anyone confirm the part numbers I posted are correct?

Thanks,

Sev
