Of the three degrading harnesses, this is the easiest to replicate.
This is what I learned - My VIN for the '94 SL500 used harness #1295402230. Only 2800 units used that harness and I am told, the reason why it is no longer supported. There were earlier harnesses and later harnesses for the SL500 - #1295402630 (available in Germany) and #1295400530 (available stateside). The diagrams for all 3 look similar if not the same. It could be a connector that is different or some other minor adjustment. So, I ordered the stateside harness and my mechanic will remove the old harness and see what has to be modified and then reinstall. I am told the remove and reinstall should be 4 to 6 hours labor.

I hope this helps fellow bio-degradable owners of SL500s.

The oil pressure harness is what I require. Does anyone have it? 1995 sl500 R129. I need it urgent as I have to sell the car to support my 2 grand son's 4 and 6 year olds. Thanks Rob

Actually just googled the part # for the oil harness, and that is not the one I require. It is the one where it starts at the ECU and not the one for the injection. Also, does anyone know what that magnetic switch is for the soft top that is located above the front windscreen is called, or a part#. Thanks, Rob

Here is the latest. The old bio-D harness came out and as it turns out, the part #1295400530 required very minor alteration to fit. It went back in with a total of 4.5 hours r/reinstall. So, if you have a VIN
that says your harness is not available anymore, keep looking at harnesses until you find a close match.
