I respect those who go to the effort of lowering their cars, and I understand the benefits to handling, but I donít get the aesthetic.

I restored my SL back to factory ride height spec on the front, and went slightly higher on back to give a more planted stance. Itís just my personal preference, but I have to admit that some lowered cars just look stupid.

I guess itís because I grew up with Dukes of Hazard, Frank Cannon, Bullitt etc. I had all the Matchbox/Corgi toy cars. Those that looked slammed had probably been accidentally sat on and consequently ended up in the charity box.

Unless you like repairing the front bumper cover over and over again, it makes sense not to drop the front suspension too much.

Your car has a decent stance that looks not really dropped at all.

It looks very much like my car's setup and I can fix the height by the ADS ride height sensors to whatever I like. My car CAN be set lower for whatever reason (looks, performance, etc.) and get away with a TOO low stance because all I have to do is press a button and the body will rise about an inch and a half with ADS.

For low profile tires, aesthetically, the sidewall of the tire should be about the same thickness as the exposed fender lip gap.

Looks good, don't go too low.

Second photo

The high contrast due to the bright sun and the distance/angle of the shot makes it difficult to be certain, but I would say the second looks better.

I lowered car just over 2", 5 months ago and the cars drives superbly, much improved handling and I've never had an issue with the lower part of the front bumper bottoming out or scraping.
