Indeed you are right, and yes, M119 is also a "top insertion" cartridge.

The top mounted filter cartridge is the reason I will switch over to the extraction-from-above method. My wife's SUV is the same way, meaning I can do at least two of my 'fleet' without removing undershrouds and crawling around on the ground. Seen my share of cross-threaded drain plugs and oil pans. Eliminating the need to mess with the plug is a good thing.

Advantage of doing it from underneath is one can check for any other problems down there, unless you changing every 6 months

Facing the engine, yours is on the top left side and is a cartridge type.

I only average 6,000 miles per year (8 mile commute and media test vehicles all year) - so I generally change oil by the calendar, not the mileage. Perhaps will put the car up in the air for the summer oil change and general inspection. Winter change will now be from above.

Hey Sully,

I use 10w-40 Mobil 1 synthetic and I'm in the northeast. Maybe someone else has more experience, but I think that 10w-40 is great for these cars in the summer, especially if you drive it hard. In the winter, I'm not sure if I should be using this!

That's just their own brand of oil. The Mobil 1 oil I got that was 5w30 is also on that sheet.
