I think in Japan they are known as Toyotas.

I read something a couple of years ago that stuck with me. I'll let each of you decide it it is true or not. But when you give a valet your car, if it is an old Mercedes that is in great shape, it might still be parked in front. If it's an old just-about-anything-else, not likely.

Despite having more displacement. I think the newer cars have all these tech doo-dads just to pass the govt economy cycle but in the real world don't offer much better economy. Now the electronics are of course way ahead. But the E350 has these adjustable "vanes" in the intake manifold - to maximize torque at different RPMs - and these break every 100K or so.

I think they look horrible too. Toyota and Honda seemed to really adopted them. That new Prius looks like someone beat it with an ugly stick.

Something like this just happened to me while I was on vacation. My wife and I had her E350 valet parked at a nice restaurant. When we came out to get it, it was parked in the first row with about 7 other E and S classes. I have no doubt that if we were in my SL, they would have parked it there.
