There are several brands and formulations of bead sealant, any FLAPS will have one or more in stock. They are very often effective in sealing tires to "pesky" rims and once used will almost always work as intended for the full life of the tire...

Picked up the car today from mechanic. He said that he cleaned up the sealant that Tire Kingdom put in and applied his own. No change in pressure since Saturday (today is Monday). So hopefully I'm good.

He wouldn't take any money. So will have to buy him some beer. Second time he didn't charge. Super nice guy. I've given him some business over the past year, maybe $1,000 or $1,500. But this is the second "no charge."

Sounds like you found yourself a pretty decent mechanic.
Offer to take him out to lunch & who knows, he might be looking for a good account.
Or there might be some bartering potential there.
Nothing ventured, nothing gained !!

He's a great guy other than he is very busy. He knows that I have an extra and puts it on the back burner.

I put on a new set of tires around 9 years ago - still like new. No leaks until I picked up a 2" nail. I heard something for several days and thought it was just a rock. Then an overnight flat. I took it to the Hibdon chain here and they fixed it free. That was 3 months ago.

Then two overnight flats, a few weeks apart. I went for a burger while they fixed the flat. Twenty minutes later I saw the car was done. They said it was a rim leak. Said it was common. No idea what they did but in any case it will still be free.

Hey.. a cool story from memory..I used to hang out with my friends who were ferrari mechanics in California, and those guys could do any repair on any car so fast and so well it would make your head spin. We had to take any other car brands than ferrari, in through the back door... but anyhow we did some bartering back then. I was like sort of a J.R. Ewing and hooked the guys up with some connections, and every time I would get one of my cars back from them, it would run faster and better! One time, they were doing the brakes on a Superamerica 400, one of five in the world, and they had me push the pedal while they bled the brakes.

Another flat. I give up. Bringing wheel to a wheel repair shop tomorrow. Here's a link of their work. http://firstplacewheels.com/beforeandafterphotos.html

Original flat last Friday. Replaced Saturday at tire shop. Sunday flat. Remounted and sealed Monday. Flat Tuesday. Sealed Wednesday. Brought it to mechanic who did it again on Saturday. He kept it until Monday. Only 15 pounds when I checked today (Wednesday).

I have to assume you saw the leak test.

That is a sufficiently rapid leak that something should show up in a dunk tank (a near medieval but effect way of finding leaks)--it i beginning to sound like a porous weld from the repair...
