Thanks..
There is a diagram that I made some years ago here, you can at least check to see if we have the same mapping:
MB SL600 7,2 Všth

I followed your webpage. Good guide. Thanks.
By the way, it is fixed. Welding issue, combined with one connector on ignition module loose (probably my fault)
So it is running again and waiting for the MAF cabling. But instead of cut and weld, I would like to run a paralel cabling and attach to the ECU connector.
Does anybody know where the MAF cabling ends, or what terminals?
Also a pinout would be very useful.
Thanks again

Found the ECU pinout while chasing another info. That's life.

MAF cabling done.

Just in case somebody needs it.

Pin 1 (Brown) Ground.
Pin 2 (Yellow/Red) Pin 34 ECU.
Pin 3 (Yellow/Violet) Pin 37 ECU.
Pin 4 (Yellow/Blue) Pin 23 ECU.
Pin 5 (Yellow/Black) Pin 17 ECU.

By the way, just drilled 2 holes in the ECU box to pass through the wires with a rubber grommet.

I am thinking I am going to have to do a rewiring on my 95 SL600 as it is running weirdly. Trying to see pics on p24 of this thread and there are broken placeholders for the pics. Any thoughts?

Hi guys

im a W140 forum user but as i recently got myself a R129 i started looking around here to see for common problems with that specific model and it seems there are similar problems on both models. I love M120 i repair wiring harnesses for these motors. I can imagine that sending parts to Europe may not be reasonable but maybe there are euro viewers here looking for help with this specific issue

The MAF harness is available new from the dealer. Lists 140-ish. Fits both w140, and r129 V12s.

I always run the wires in this heatshield to prevent future deterioration of the wire insulation.

Thank you Thank you for the update!!!

I thought this harness was no longer available....

The Mercedes Dealer out of Florida has the harness for $100

FYI, Parts hub is the cheapest for actual MB parts anywhere. They beat my two dealers that sell to me at Whole-Sale-Prices. MB Parts Hub is 15% to 20% cheaper than any my past sources.

Rich,

Sorry some of us have our benzworld portal to display the max pages per computer screen, so it was not Post 24, so what post is it?...

I had posted this a while, and it may help on post 12

Inspect your wires, and open those wiring plastic channels.

All the best,

Martin

Martin,

I found this website the other day. Prices are the same as MB Pats Hub as far as I can tell. When I scrolled down to contact info, location and phone number are the same as Encino Dealer. They offer at the check out option of local pickup with no shipping charges. Could be very convenient

I ordered MAF from them $190, got the e-mail the same day part NLA. They promptly updated their part catalog with that info.

Do I need the package one or two times for both MAFs?
