scorpiox, I have the same issue with my driver's side door lock. Do the doors unlock with the remote OK? Mine still do and until I have an issue with that, I was going to leave taking apart the door until I had to. (I have only gone so far as taking out the seat controller so far.) I'll be curious to follow along with your resolution of this issue.

Regards,
Daryl

Lock

Mine also does not lock or unlock. I spent several hours removing the white plastic guard and tried to get the lock out. I finally sain F#@k it and put it back in. I'm sure there is a way to get that assembly out but I have not figured it out yet!!

WIS Manual

If it helps, here are the directions from the WIS manual. You would of course do them in order, 72-100, 72-240 and then 72-250. I suspect it might just be a linkage come off or broken. If any of you attempt this, please take pictures and let us know. As previously stated, I've only gotten as far as the seat control switch in 72-100. That was for a different issue.

Regards,
Daryl

First you mast trouble shoot what is wrong do you hear noise on the lock in question.
The handle is removed by removing an Allen screw at horizontal with the lock remove a small portion of the rubber seal you will see a small hole loosen the screw.
The rest is from inside.
Regards.
aam.

I have the same problem too on my driver side lock.
My key can do a complete 360 in the lock!
So far my remote work great so i did not freak out too much but i have to get that fix
eventualy.
If i remember well, there is a video in the sticky that show how to take the handle off.
Anybody get a complete 360 with key in the lock?

Yes, there is a video on getting the door handle off all right. It looks very easy and simple, as long as you have the allen key. That answers scopriox' original question. But, what will this show me, other than me having a lock in my hand? We need to know why turning the key does not unlock the door.

As the lock looks so quick and easy to get out maybe if you take off the lock that works too, then compare them both to see why the other one doesn't work.

Now I have seen it is so easy I'm going to remove my black handles and spray them the same colour as the car.
I was going to mask them up for spraying but no need to now.

Allen set screw??

Thanks AAM, I think that was the missing piece. I was trying to squirl that hole mess through the door. I'll give it another shot. Help appreciated!!
