My dad and i went racing just for kicks while both of us were getting gas at are local shell. We raced 3 times and me in the 95 kicked hiss butt 3/3 the last run i gave him a 1 car length head start and i still got him . Both cars are stock with the spare in and the soft top open . Any ideas?

Maybe the new acquisition just needs a small service such as plugs and an air filter change.

Another factor is the older you get the less 'bottle' you have

What a lovely sight though a garage full of SL500's

Re. the colour I've heard of Canary Yellow but never Canary Red...... you learn something new every day

I do see one problem that you should have. You need to loosen the headlight wiper nuts and readjust the wiper, so that they sit parallel on the tit, not below it. What will happen is, if the wipers are below the tit, when you have your headlights on and work the wipers, the wipers will continually spray fluid and not shut off. They will burn out due to not having fluid lubricating, which will eventually cause them to overheat and burn out.
