Empty 3 pin plug 9692 in engine bay 450sl 1975

Hallo. I am relatively new to the r107 generally and have been fixing things. Working on getting the d jetronic wiring in a more stable condition on my 1975 450sl and came across an empty plug close to the ballast resistors. I have attached a photo. Any idea what this is?

I don't know for sure but check the underside of your diagnosis plug and triggering impulse sender (#85 in the attached wiring diagrams). Seems like this topic came up not too long ago.

I dont think so. The triggering impulse sender comes off the distributor. That is connected and running fine. The diagnostic port for the car is on the power steering pump. Cant find anything that's supposed to be there.
