That makes sense - Bosch also had both types. However, when you use the Beru.EU or Fed-Mogul site and do a search, it doesn't come up with wires for the earlier models. Maybe discontinued or site just doesn't work properly?

I haven't looked lately, but Kingsbourne used to sell Beru wires in USA, but no longer seems to for our old cars. There are of course many different makes.

Anyway, my Bosch have worked for me, so no need to change

Under Mercedes SL (107) it still only shows wires for 450SL with 982 motor from 75 on. Anyway, not important, not buying, just an observation.

Gotta go pick up some parts for my W123 transmission linkage.
