107 windscreen chrome trim piece is thinner or larger on some models??

Urgent! Could someone please tell why top windscreen chrome trim piece is thinner or larger on some models??

I ordered a set from a 1985 380 to fit my 1985 380 in England and they are different

I think they got thinner on the later models. I was surprised to see this myself as I looked at different cars. My assumption is that neither the windshield, nor the hardtop ever really changed. So why the change in the trim?

That's interesting... I too was under the impression that those attachments remained static through the entire production life cycle.

on 107-044 there are 3 different ones
up to 1948
up to 14274
and above

-045 just 2
up to 14274
and above

the left and right side are also different by VIN
