Under the car to check exhaust hangers (3/5 bad), shifter bushings (both gone), and to check the u-joint as there is a clunk when I shift into drive and reverse. I will be replacing the center bearing and carrier, and possibly the flex plates. My question is, what does a bad u-joint exhibit? If I grip the drive shaft and make a rotate movement, there is some play, but not at the u-joint as far as I can tell. Also, any tips, tricks or warnings on drilling out the broken bolts on the passenger side exhaust manifold? Much appreciated!
