Just returned from a 5 day trip to Austria. On the way back we took my Alte Dame to her birthplace,
Sindelfingen Mercedes Werke near Stuttgart.
The total trip was 2.496 km,and she performed perfectly ! I tried to max her,but because of traffic and roadworks i only reached 164 km/h,about 100 mph.
The best mpg i got was 22,5. That really surprised me, because that was in the German hills, and we had a lot of traffic.Speed at that point was anywhere between 80 and 130 km/h average.

In Austria i went up mountains with roads up to 19% climbing.
She used about 0,8 liters of oil during the whole trip.
Enjoy !

Cheap-ass Dutch peanutbutter. Don't leave home without it.
Austrian Apfel strudel.
No words needed.

In Germany i took in some of my favorite wine. 3 x cheaper than in Holland.

Looks like you had a nice trip.

Roughly 25 years ago when we were annually schlepping around Europe, we spent a few weeks in and around Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Of course, there were lots of touristy things to see and do, but when I (we) would just stop and look around at the scenery, the countryside and the majesty of the Alps, it was breathtaking. Would have enjoyed driving around in a 107 back then!

Thanks for the pics.
