It's a highly modified Wilga.

Mike (the owner/builder) is one of the most gifted designer/fabricators you will ever see. Limitless energy (and apparently limitless money). He'll be at Oshkosh (the worlds biggest airshow) next week with Draco. I can't wait.

He has a 16 part VLOG on YouTube (Mike Patey) about the conversion. A high powered STOL runs about 140-180hp. That monster has 680.

I actually watched a guy in an unmodified J-3 take off and land on the same runway without turning. I donít know what the sustained headwind was but IIRC, stall speed on that plane is 40-45 mph.

The whole maneuver took about 20 minutes. More like a kite than an airplane. Pretty cool.
