That was my other solution, to fabricate one thatís functionally equivalent. Itís not like a part that needs to look good, it just needs to work.
One side benefit of having a hobby of building scale models is you get to learn about all sorts of different materials, having tools to work with them and figuring out how to make some item from scratch. Like, I have a pretty good idea about which adhesives will work with different kinds of plastics. Iíd been kicking around in my head finding something in the plumbing department just as you have thatíd likely cost a lot less than the actual part and easier to get.
