Last one. At the dealership after service. The two mechanics in the picture have been with the dealership since 1980 and are extremely knowledgeable. Sorry, photo would not rotate.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your recent acquisition.

Seven years ago, while looking for a fully-restored American classic, I accidentally stumbled upon an 1989 560SL with 26,000 miles. Like your situation, my car's original owner also took exceptional care of the car returning it to the dealer each year for servicing, and I was fortunate to get all the service records.

It's good you're already being proactive with parts and service since, despite the low miles, keep in mind that the car is 30 years old.

Thanks for sharing the pics, enjoy the "new" ride, and there's a bunch of enthusiastic owners here that can help solve almost any issue.

Welcome, Paul! Your car is immaculate! I don't think you could have found any better. Yours is a nice 107 color too. Here's to many years of enjoyment!

This is a dream purchase. It reinforces my belief that there are many of these beauties hidden away by people who bought them and rarely drove them; like an ancient Egyptian pharaoh who stows valued treasures in the pyramid. It is now up to us to release these lovely birds from captivity. I got my 1987 from a former pilot who stowed his in a airport hangar for decades, nowhere as nice as Paul's find. Paul, you should enter it in car shows and register in the unrestored original category, it will win.

Thanks for your welcome and perspective. I agree there are "quality examples" awaiting to be unearthed. While searching, I found several, but passed either because the cars had multiple owners or lack the proper documentation (eg manuals, service records, tools or window sticker). I believe, along with others, the 560sl is a well built vehicle and certainly undervalued.
