Welcome to the club Andy & the never ending cycle of drive - fix - drive - improve - drive - repair - and always enjoy, even if sequence of events may vary

I'd also prioritize the fuel issues and all stuff that really matters, i.e. around engine, drivetrain etc. You'll also find that your to-do list tends to grow, sometimes exponentially, but as long as you keep ticking the top items and keep adding to it that's all good.

As someone once remarked - "the best experience of owning a classic is behind you since you've already test driven it"

Haha! When I bought my car I had the naive idea I would just fix a few things then it'd be smooth sailing. Overall, while I've had much more sailing -- or driving, as the case may be -- than fixing, there's definitely been more fixing than I expected. To my surprise, this has turned out to be part of the fun.

Same here joser, same here - I didn't expect that amount of tinkering, but it's just like you wrote - it's part of the experience, and it is fun... as long as the car starts ok after you're finished haha!
