Security devices

Hi Guys. What security devices are you currently running in your r107?

They are quite easy to steal in stock form.

Any ideas of a reliable and good quality device? Maybe tracker?

Easy to steal?

Sure they're easy to hot wire but without a key, a thief will have to drill out the steering wheel lock. Something that takes a good 30 minutes to do with a good tool.

Baring that, a thief with a tow truck can steal our rides faster. No need to hack n slash.

Best thing to do is not leave anything valuable in the cabin and park in a sealed garage. That's what I do .

I leave my key in the 107 at all times, that way I don't lose it.

If I was going to risk prison with a big, hairy roommate, I'm stealing a better car than a 107!

I leave The PIG unlocked and top down everywhere. (even Walmart....shhh)

So far no takers.

If it wasn't insured for a stoopid amount it would have been gone long ago.

Or not...LOL.

What better to protect an 80’s car than an 80’s security device, The Club!

honestly, unless its something ultra high end or on the high grab list you dont have anything to worry about except from some joy rider who is still going to grab that sooby of civic over your 107, and a pro will have it gone with or without an alarm

imo its best to leave everything unlocked so when someone wants to search the car they dont break the windows to do it

ALL security setups are easily bypassed by those trained to do so, so short of GPS tracking thats VERY well hidden and VERY hard to get to if someone wants it they will take it and the odds of it being recovered is pretty well nill

however the 107 doesnt have the high profile $$$ nor is it worth enough to part it out for anyone to bother with

Perfect! Hanging on to my club in the garage for 34 years is finally going to pay off when I get to reuse it again on my SLC! Combine that with my wife's brake pedal lock and that will be pure joy to get in and out of the car each day.
