Orbit398, It might not do the job with all those other mixes in there. It will be diluted too much. I would drain the transmission again, and add a new can of SeaFoam. Let us know in a few days how you come out.
Good Luck.

Yes - I am checking the level with the engine running, at temperature, car is level. I've driven shifting gears manually ect. That's how I found out when in 3rd gear, I don't have the issue. I have driven just over 200 miles with the lubeguard, maybe about 70 with the Lucas added and now about 10 with the seafoam.

I'll drive it some more tomorrow to see if anything gets better. Let you all know how it goes. I assume I'll need a rebuild soon. So be it....

Drove it around today. I also turned in the vacuum modulator adjustment T bar one move thinking it needs a bit more pressure (one quarter turn basically). Seems to be getting better. Fluid level is right on.

Still weird that if I go around a 90 degree turn in a neighborhood, it still has the symptom of 'going into neutral/free spin' and then catch gear again, not all the time but enough to bother me. May go one more turn on the T bar. Weather isn't going to be nice so may be a few days to try...l

I could be wrong, but I still think you have some sticking valves in your transmission. It's getting to be expensive,
but I would drain the transmission, refill it, and put a new can of SeaFoam Transmission Fix in. Run it on the road to operating temperature,
and keep shifting as many gears as you can manually while doing so. It could take two or three days to break loose. I would
set the modulator valve back where it was too.

do these trannys have a filter?, if so pull the pan and change the filter, a plugged filter can cause this to0, information im providing is generic to all autos since a automatics are basicly all built the same way useing the same types of parts

however i fully agree drain it refill it and put in a fresh can of seafoam

Have you tried adjusting the vacuum modulator. After I serviced my transmission I found it was (?) sloppy while shifting from 2 to 3 and from 3 to 4 when cool. I adjusted the vacuum modulator and the problem dramatically reduced, but shifts more positively when warm.

Thanks a Million

Yes - I messed with the modulator, see a few posts down.

In a hold period at the moment. Have the starter out being rebuilt for a third time from this shop that has been very good in the past, not so good on this one. Bendix kicking out and engaging issues..... The Water pump leaks too so will be replacing that this weekend also. The fun just continues....

Back up and running. Starter now works great, had alternator rebuilt too as had a bearing whine, new water pump and while there, replaced the front main seal. Quite a lot of fun......

Back driving now exercising the transmission. I know others have suggested to re-drain the fluid, replace filter, and add another can of SeaFoam Transmission Fix. Plan to drive it for awhile and if nothing gets better, may do that. If I go that route, I may R&R the valve body as a buddy has another that I could try. Will keep y'all posted on progress.

I do need to check the pressure associated with the vacuum modulator as believe that will tell me the condition of the pump.
