W107 SL450 engine unclear block hole

Hi,

Could you please help to indetify for what reason is hole in my SL450 engine block. I marked it in picture with red circle. Through this hole is leaking coolant. Thanks!

I had trouble too. It is on the side to the rear of the block. Faint and looks pink on my monitor.

Just a guess but could be connected to the drain hole at the rear of the valley beneath the intake. https://www.benzworld.org/forums/r-c1...ml#post4928422

Did you figured out what is that hole? Mi car has a small o√*l leak coming from there

I see it. Its at the back left side of the block. That hole is supposed to drain any liquid that builds up in the valley between the left and right cylinder banks. If engine oil is coming out of that hole you probably have a bad head gasket.

Antifreeze or gas might also be coming out of that hole if those systems have a leak.
