Thank you - it was very gratifying for it to come out exactly as I had envisioned it.

Looking at my old post I noticed a few details that I left out.

Number one is that I used #6061 aluminum bar stock. The dimensions are 5mmx15mm by a length between that I can’t exactly recall but that had to be estimated manually kind of old school.

To get the first pass of the curved profile I used a cheap Harbor Freight ring roller.

The least possible curve was a bit to much so I had to do a little straightening afterward that I did with a bench vise and a heat gun to help the bar to relax a little. It was pretty easy to get it to the correct profile because the ring roller did not make it so over-curved that it took too much correcting.

I recall using some hand files to get the correct angles on each end to have them mate while I may have used my bench grinder a bit but either one would work.

I’d like to hear an idea as an alternative to using the ring roller for future reference but that’s the way that I thought was the best to get a clean profile. I would have preferred not buying a $70 ring roller though.
