Thanks for the information. A few days ago I compiled sway bar part numbers for the various years and models of the R107.
Iím not sure how accurate this is.

Addco has always used powder coating. I would expect these to be the same.

I had seen a review on Amazon of one of their Jeep bars where they guy was claiming all the "paint" had come off. So just want to be sure!

Contacted Addco.
1. The bars are powder coated black and are covered by a lifetime warranty, except for the polyurethane bushings that come with the front bar.
2. Mounting hardware: Front bar comes with new mounting hardware. Rear bar uses your existing mounting hardware.
3. If the bar or bars donít fit, Addco will take them back and refund the money.
4. Shipping cost is extra. For a rough estimate you can check the UPS website. Front bar weighs approx. 20lbs rear bar about 15lbs. (Addco is located in Mangonia Park, FL).

Detailed how to order info will follow shortly

Let me know if there are any other questions.

So which cars do we have covered?

So far:
  • MAcarbon_john has a 044 350/450SL.
  • RLT's car is a 048 560SL.
  • GWG has a 041 300SL
  • JVluntzel has a '75 044 450SL.
  • BigFish also has a 048 560
  • daryn has a 022 280SLC

Pretty good mix.

I also have a '86 046 500 and a possibly soon a '79 043 350. Not sure I'd have the time to try it on all of them though!

So we look to have everything but what Addco says they are actually for! A 380!

If you scroll down on their catalog page it calls out the R107 chassis.

Yeah.... but! I'm sure what it is is that back in day they sold them to all comers and no one ever said they don't fit. That is slightly different than them knowing for sure it does fit. But its only a couple hundies so I think it will be fun to give it a try.

I questioned Addco on this and was told they didnít update the catalog because the discontinued the bars for the R107ís. Thatís why I asked about returns if the bar doesnít fit.
