they need to quit arguing "generic reparations"

and put solutions out there than can actually be discussed.

i am against "generic reparations" but there may be debatable solutions that make sense and i could support.

Like a "Marshall Plan" for America, or even for all of North and South America.

justice delayed is justice denied- we should be a just country-

an intelligent reparation would be justice to the extent any crime victims can ever be made right

but i think the difficult part would be

the ancestors of slaves wiping the slate clean once the correct "reparation justice" was delivered-

because that would be the other side of the coin.

I think that every person who was held as a chattel slave in the US should receive reparations based upon the time they they were held as such, probably capping at a lifetime total of, say, one million dollars in current dollars.

Heck, to show good faith, I would even support an approach that any children of such slaves should receive an apportioned share of that sum in the actual slave's stead, should that slave be deceased.

Maybe even the grandchildren, on that same basis.

Beyond that ?

I'm not so sure that justice would require anything beyond, based upon a tort of chattel slavery.
