What worries me about the US of A

What worries me is that outside Israel and maybe parts of Canada, the USA no longer has any friends out there...

Having gotten involved in wars it has not won or even lost since Vietnam it has lost the moral leadership it had back in 1945.

Most countries now understand that China might be a better business partner than the US .. and China threatens to become THE world economic leader in a few decades. Their major advantage is population : with more than four times the US population and universities/training ramping up, how can the US keep its status and dare I say, useful role in world affairs?

As for quality of life (which is not about how much cheap stuff you can buy at Walmart), most European countries are better than the US...

I sincerely hope that Americans start seeing the reality around them and understand
that they are at risk of losing financial leadership in the world.
I believe that the US must play a role in the world but that is going to be difficult at best if it keeps bullying so many foreign countries that used to be friendly towards it...

It is not a matter of D.Trump but a lack of seeing the world as it really is...

HA! America recently elected a clown and most of its population couldn't pick Madrid or Singapore on a map.

I have a feeling you will be disappointed...

The problem is yours because if another subprime Wall street disaster happens. The US dollar is at risk of losing its viability as an international currency and THAT would be catastrophic for the US economy !! Peking, Moscow and even Tokyo and New Delhi are watching closely. Europe being a political dwarf, it will follow the "winner" of this turmoil

Hope you folks see the light before its too late. It could spell the rapid decline of the USA...not something I rejoice in...

Not so sure about that. Some think -in the long term- the dollar no longer being the world's currency may be a good thing for everyone.

But world trading in Yuans would be a big blow to your economy !

I do believe that China is a more agreeable trade partner that the western countries which have pillaged the world for the last two centuries. For example, France and Great Britain have screwed up the middle east for over a century !
Westerners have used wars and invasions to "secure" resources in countries that did not belong to them.
The UK and then USA secured iranian oil by pushing Reza Shah into power in Iran whose brutality gave rise to Khomeiny and what we have now ...big improvement hey ?

And the USA did the same in latin America which is why "they" hate the US now...big improvement hey ?

China's problem is a that as they become a more sophisticated market

their internal social problems will explode

and that is something they have yet death with and could easily sabotage

the world view of them being a stable trading partner.

america's stability was the thang.

yes it's taken quite a hit and you see what it is doing to our trading partners-

Why? It's not like it would appreciate all of a sudden, that would go against China's policy of maintaining a low yuan to maintain their export sector.

The dollar would slide but that would cut trade deficits as imports go down and exports go up creating more jobs in the US and helping a ton of industries that currently cannot compete with China.

China already owns Africa, I mean OWNS it, I saw it first hand. They are about to fully control Asia while Europe will find it much easier to deal with China rather than our pompous attitude of MAGA and shit.
South America will follow, considering we treated them like shit for many decades.

So, what's the solution? Invade Iran for the sake of Israel. God will be on our side I was told. He will awash us with wealth from heaven for helping Jesus return to sort the heathens out.

It's a friggin nightmare!

So would you now recommend that Canadians "hedge their bets" and also learn some Chinese ?
