Paris without Notre Dame is hard to imagine. They will rebuild.

Let's hope the hunchback made it out..

Extremely sad, there will be a ton of damage beyond the wood. Luckily the Europeans are well versed in rebuilding very old buildings, even their shit don’t last like you think it would. Maintenance is crazy intensive compared to rip and build new Americans.

Intense heat can do a lot of damage to stonework. Are there enough skilled workers to do the type of work required to rebuild in the original style?

It will be rebuilt, and it will be a lot safer. Let's hope no loss of life and injuries at the moment, those are irreplaceable.

For sure, rebuilding bombed out and burnt out buildings is an industry unto itself in Europe, there are artisans abound. After the fire that consumed Windsor it looked Paris in 855, burnt to a crisp, yet now Windsor looks fabulous again.

Our Fearless Fire in Chief : Tweeting that it was "so horrible to watch the massive fire at Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris," Trump added: "Perhaps flying water tankers could be used to put it out. Must act quickly!"

Is there anything he doesn't know how to do?
