If Trump want muslim banned, that's a good enough reason to ban them.

“If the U.S. government designates the Muslim Brotherhood a foreign terrorist group, then not only its members, but anyone either in the United States or abroad suspected of providing support or resources to the group would be at risk of removal from the U.S. if they are noncitizens and having their assets frozen,” Human Rights Watch wrote in a news release.

Pitter said the U.S. government would also, presumably, be able to freeze the assets of American citizens who are suspected of support or association, or charge them with material support to a foreign terrorist organization.

As the law is applied now, Pitter said: “They can freeze assets even when they suspect that you fall under the executive order.” It can be exceedingly difficult to challenge, starting with the logistical difficulty of hiring a lawyer without having access to any cash.

Supporters of the terrorist organization designation also make the claim that the Council on American-Islamic Relations and several other major Muslim civic and advocacy groups are brotherhood front organizations. Those groups, as well as experts on the Islamist movement, say there is no evidence to support that claim. But both supporters and opponents of the terrorist designation believe it would be wielded in an effort to shut those groups down.

This could be the first step in making sure that large swaths of Muslims and particularly in the US are quickly rounded up after their assets are frozen so they have no access to legal council. It's brilliant, just accuse any of them to belonging to a "nefarious" organization without any proof and by forcing the burden of proof on an incapacitated accused.

When is this party starting, I want to start breaking some glass...

Looks like we'll have to work on that "extreme vetting" while we continue business:

Federal appeals court smacks down President Trump on travel ban* - NY Daily News

So, if I'm reading this right, Trump bans, the 2 states say the ban causes them hardship, a judge grants a stay of implementation while it is reviewed, Trump asks for an emergency stay of the stay, and this court says not staying the stay will cause no immediate harm to warrant an emergency stay. Stay tuned.

I'm still not a fan of the ban, though I believe it is both lawful and constitutional (which neither court ruled on). There's a big part of my psyche cheering on a state(s) challenging the authority of any piece of the federal government, though, for obvious reasons.

That being said, Trump said he needed 90 days to write up some better vetting rules. I trust that work continues.
