Gollan Annexation

Just like I predicted in my previous anti patriotic threads:

Israeli minister calls on world to recognise Golan annexation

The argument in some milieux is that there was never A Syria, it was just an illusion, a temporary demarcation line to hoard the brownies for eventual expulsion "Palestinian Style"!

Quote:
"I call on the international community... to recognise Israel's sovereignty over the Golan," Naftali Bennett, head of the Jewish Home party, said in a speech at a time of increasing world pressure on Israel over the occupied West Bank and Arab east Jerusalem.

Bennett sees the sparsely-populated Golan as a very different case from the Palestinian territories and a vital buffer between Israel and the turmoil raging a few hundred metres (yards away) where the Syrian government has lost control of the border region to rebels.

"I understand that there is a disagreement on Judaea and Samaria, what the world calls the West Bank. I understand that on this we shall agree to disagree," he said.

"But the Golan, to ban agricultural exports from the Golan? Where is the logic, where is your morality."

"Who would you like us to give the Golan Heights to? To (Syrian President Bashar al-) Assad? To (Al-Qaeda affiliate) Al-Nusra Front? To the Islamic State (jihadist) group. To (Lebanon's) Hezbollah?," he asked.
Nah, just steal it, God gave it to you!
You need a "buffer" all the way to Iran. Just cut to the chase and claim the rest of Jesus Land. America will support you.

And further more ..

Netty and Washington tell the UN not to put Israel on list that includes groups that kill and maim children. Moon obeyed.

Quote:
Under unusual pressure from Israel and the United States, the United Nations secretary general, Ban Ki-moon, opted not to include either Israel or Hamas on a list of armies and guerrilla groups that kill and maim children in conflicts worldwide, despite the recommendations of one of his senior envoys, diplomats say.

The list was part of an annual report of violations of children’s rights, an advance copy of which was circulated to members of the Security Council on Monday morning, that goes into great detail on the actions of Israeli security forces during the 50-day war in the Gaza Strip last year. The report raised what it called “serious concern over the observance of the rules of international humanitarian law concerning the conduct of hostilities.”

Amnesty International Says Israel Showed ‘Callous Indifference’ in GazaNOV. 4, 2014

The report says that at least 540 children were killed, another 2,955 wounded and 262 schools damaged by Israeli airstrikes. It also cited Palestinian militants for firing rockets indiscriminately toward Israel, killing a 4-year-old Israeli boy and gravely wounding at least six Israeli children.

After decades of rightfully hearing 'never again,' from being the oppressed to now officially acknowledge the role of oppressor.
This must be a difficult time for liberal Jews.

The questions are:
1. Is the Golan rightfully Israel's?
2. Should Syria as a whole or partially be annexed just because Israel has a "Biblical right" to the region?
3. Should part of Iraq be annexed to create a buffer zone from the Persians? (Jordan would be absorbed in the process)
4. Should all non Jews in the annexed regions be driven out Nakaba Style?

Now, #1 is a fait accomplie while the rest look like ridiculous questions. A few years ago, #1 would have looked like a ridiculous question. Time does some wonders on people, specially when brain washing is in full deployment.

The law, Sir, is on their side...

Quote:
The Golan Heights Law is the Israeli law which applies Israel's government and laws to the Golan Heights. It was ratified by the Knesset on December 14, 1981. The law was not recognised internationally[1] and determined null and void by United Nations Security Council Resolution 497.

The law was passed half a year before Israel's withdrawal from the Sinai Peninsula. Unusually, all three readings took place on the same day. This procedure was heavily criticized by the centre-left opposition. Substantially, the law has mainly been criticized for potentially hindering future negotiations with Syria.

While the Israeli public at large, and especially the law's critics, viewed it as an annexation, the law avoids the use of the word. Prime Minister Menachem Begin responded to Amnon Rubinstein's criticism by saying: "you use the word 'annexation', I do not use it" and noting that similar wording was used in a 1967 law authorizing the government to apply Israeli law to any part of the Land of Israel. The earlier law covered only those areas included in the British Mandate, requiring a separate law for the Golan Heights (these were included in the French Mandate of Syria).
