Police officer, bystander killed after Houston car chase - CNN.com

Quote:
The fleeing car collided with a pickup truck, which then joined the chase, Cannon said.
Norman, who was a patrol supervisor, and the truck driver followed the suspect into an auto parts business parking lot, he said.
The suspect opened fire at Norman and shot and killed the local businessman, who came out to the parking lot. Backup officers arrived and exchanged gunfire with the suspect, who was struck twice, Cannon said.

Who or how are they monitored for not drinking alcohol?
Do no harm and you'll be left alone.

Were anyone to attempt to rob myself or a neighbor, watch out.

Not worried about the do no harm. Concerned about the spray and pray mentality that the person who feels he needs a large clip "semi-automatic, assault style weapon" for home protection. The same person who thinks that bullet is going to stop at their bedroom wall.

I'll ask again.
Who monitors the concealed carry crowd in a bar for no alcohol consumption?

Why concern yourself with the amount of guns sold since President Obama took office, When the assault weapons ban was allowed to run out under Bush? Did all these nut jobs and weapons suddenly pop up 4 years ago?

Maybe we should just return to a lifestyle from the middle ages, simply stay on the lord's land, keep our heads down and enjoy our gruel. Pandora's box was opened a long time ago, I'd rather have a slightly tipsy armed good guy close by, than try to convince a whackjob to wait a moment while I dial 911.

I propose an advertising campaign for "publicizing your suicide".
Most of these gun-crazed dementos end up killing themselves anyway - either that or they put themselves in a situation where they will be killed by others.

Suppose the offer was made to widely distribute video coverage - with all details of their own demise. If anyone else is harmed, no coverage, no exceptions. A reality series, perhaps: Good bye Cruel World. Advertisers like Budweiser would eat that shit up in a heartbeat.

Better question, who monitors the "bad guy" carrying a concealed weapon into that same bar, and what are you going to do about it except complain about the NRA?
Why aren't you complaining about the court system that allows for plea bargaining the weapons infractions as their first course of action against any criminal?
Maybe if the courts put some of these guys away strictly because they were carrying a weapon it the first place we wouldn't have so many incidents.
Of course that would mean more jails and you don't want to pay for that either do you, and gods forbid that they should want to build one of these jails or prisons anywhere near your home, right?

Richmond, VA had the right idea, carry a weapon in a crime, even if no one ever sees it and you go the jail period, brandish it, or use it and the jail time goes up geometrically.

Google gun sales during President Obamas terms.
Google Lapierre boasting that President Obama is the best thing for gun sales.
Google FOID applications in the last four years.

Define slightly tipsy. The poster said CC is not allowed to drink in a bar and carry, I still am waiting for the answer on who determines if a CC is drinking in a bar with a weapon.

Wisconsin: Suburban Milwaukee police officer found shot to death - TwinCities.com

Most likely a suicide because NOBODY gets killed carrying a gun.
