Ironically, that eliminates Bill Clinton, but it did include George H. W. Bush (WWII combat veteran).
Speaking of which, I learned a few years ago that singer Tony Bennett is also a WWII combat veteran. Yes, he is 92. He's also very healthy. Someone like him might make a good President, I think; he hates war, having seen it up close 'n' personal, and he is as about as dignified a person as you can get. He remains sharp as a tack, too. Oh, and he's a civil rights activist.

the office of the presidency has been reduced to a reality show
as a result, the debates are merely auditions without any true substance
case in point - who is Marianne Williamson? no service to the nation, no government experience
totally unqualified for the position
yet she persisted
the president of the united states should have government experience- state, municipal or federal. they should have some sort of service to the nation- military, peace corps or something like that
they should be able to release their taxes
they should not have ANY accusations of wrong doing
they should have a masters degree in economics or foreign policy or at least have the self awareness to hire seasoned professionals
the president should represent America- someone like Dwight D Eisenhower.
but it has been reduced to nothing now
bread and curcuses remain

I watched enough of the first Democratic debate to get tired of them, especially when Sen. Harris went after former VP Biden the way she did. I don't believe that Biden would be that good of a President...though I likewise don't believe for one second that he is somehow a racist the way Harris tried to portray him. That was shameful of her to do. I'll give Biden this: he does seem to understand the reality of compromise, i. e. "one step back to take two steps forward", at times in government. That's just the reality of a democratically-elected republic like ours.
As for Sen. "Fauxcohantas" Warren--and yes, I really do view her that way for what she did--she just needs to leave politics and never come back. She took a dump on every person of color with what she pulled, including my own family.
Sen. "The Bern" Sanders is old, yes. I don't care one whit about that. Matter of fact, in his case, if anything I view his age as a strength for having a lot of life experience and plenty of wisdom, something that this country could use a lot of right now. He has already shown, the hard way, that he will actually work for everyone in this country, not just those who look like he does or have his personal religious beliefs. As disappointed as I was when The Bern rolled over for Hillary Clinton in 2016, of the Dem candidates, he's the only one who would have my support again.
Sen. Gillibrand seems more about backing up fellow White feminists than helping out people of color, especially Black people. Unlike Sanders, who put his White Jewish butt on the line and got arrested standing up for Black kids getting a fair shot at good, and safe, educational facilities, Gillibrand is basically the "new Hillary Clinton", the White Progressives' candidate.
The others...to me, they all want to try to sound like Rep. Ocasio-Cortez. They're all basically parrotting and attacking each other. I know that's what you do in today's political environment, but I still don't care for it.
