mahunt Mine pops up if it was up to begin with.

When the top is either going up or down, if the roll bar is up; it is lowered automatically just like the windows, After the top is either stowed or latched, the roll bar is returned to its original position (up or down).

The video clearly shows that the roll bar is up before the cycle begins.

ceta4zng In that video of the top working - it looks like the rollbar pops up automatically after the top is stored. Mine doesn't do that - and honestly I would prefer it didn't. But just wondering, is that something that is programmable, and if so, how?

So that is EXACTLY my car including the wrong cover and about 110k fewer miles
one day left to go on the auction. looks like the wind deflector thing got sorted out. all oem.

ceta4zng this is the one with the wrong wheels - for $22k. Could not understand this price given the NLA of the wheels. But hey, appreciating Silver Arrows are good for everyone I guess.

Which is why it was annoying watching one of the Silver Arrow auctions on Bat a few weeks ago (the one with a set of R230 launch edition wheels). Every time someone brought up the wheels, the seller was all like, 'where there is a will there is a way. forget the wheels and focus on how nice and clean this car is.' Meanwhile someone paid $22k for a SA and either had no chance to find the correct wheels or would pay some exorbitant sum to acquire a set. If that were the case, I'd rather buy a silver sport package car for a deep discount off the $22k.

excuse me - going to find wheel locks...

gli48 A friend of mine has a SL500 Silver Arrow and was looking for wheel locks for his wheels as he had heard that they were becoming hard to get. He eventually wound up calling the Mercedes Classic Center in CA and the person he talked to there asked him if he new what those wheels were worth? It seems these are no longer available and are selling for $5000. each! So, based upon that, any SA with good wheels is worth at least $20K just for the wheels alone. What the hell is the brief case worth? And the seats? And the door panels? Its sad that a nice $35K car is probably worth more if you part it out.
