Traveler0980 I had purchased a set from Carid for my 2009 CLK. I had to modify the clip that held the bulb in (another thread) but everything fit inside the head light housing. I loved the extra light I got.

H7 LED kit that works with C300 W205

My 2016 C300 was a Dealer Courtesy car. So I got an amazing deal on it at only 10K miles, it was pristine.

But it came with the standard halogen sealed headlight assemblies. I looked into a bunch of 'compatible' LED conversion kits - even ordered 2, but none of them fit so I returned them. The LED bulb assembly with heat sink & fan is to long and will not fit into the sealed headlight enclosure behind the access caps.

Took a fresh look around today and found these new Gen 3 LED bulbs that use a folded copper heat sink array instead of a fan. The folded array is made to be flowered out in all directions to carry away heat from the bulb. It also gives the bulb a much shallower draft when mounted in it's socket (see photo).

Anybody here have experience with these?
