Traveler0980 Bought a 2018 C-300 cab after owning 2005 and then a 2009 CLK's. This one is sooooo nice to drive. My CLK's were relatively maintenance free except for the normal wear out items. I expect this one to be the same.

Just my $.02 worth.

Georj I dont know why your c280 is a maintenance nightmare. I have 1999 C280, just went over 200K miles. Last year I got a 2015 C300 with 8K miles. It is a completely different car. It is fast and even in Comfort mode, it shifts aggressively. It is not as smooth as the C280 and the turning radius is also little wider. It is more of sports sedan rather than a luxury car. It is a fast car with fast acceleration. I am selling mine if you are interested. It has 11K miles and still under full factory warranty for another year. It is diamond blue color and in excellent condition.

Thinking about a used W205

This won’t be my first Mercedes but my current Mercedes is a 1978 W123 so I’m a little out of the loop with the new ones. I also had a W202 C280 which turned out to be a maintenance nightmare. So before I decide, are there any known major issues with the 2015+ C300s? Am I getting myself into a risk situation buying one with 30,000 miles? Worth paying for an extended warranty from the Mercedes dealer?

For those of you who own them, do you ever work on them yourself? I’m used to working on my own car but don’t even know if you can buy parts reasonably for a 2015.

Final question. This is dumb to ask on a Mercedes forum, but is there anything else I should consider in the same age/price range?
